Visionary Dragon.

President Bush has protrayed himself and his country as a bunch of jokers, having spent in excess of $200 Billion for a illegal war in Iraq basically to control energy reserves.

With China bidding for Unocal and displaying interest in being part of the energy player worldwide, by simply throwing less than a tenth of what US has spent in Iraq, shows the strategic interest and vision in becoming a Super power, the first step being controlling energy resources worldwide.

Unocal, a California based independant oil company has vast resources in Asia.

With the American economy absolutely dependant on Chinese loans (IOUs which US gives for import of Chinese products) the game has just begun.

China has deliberately and cleverly increased its dollar wealth over a period of time, and with the US congress rejecting the CNOOC bid citing Security reasons, it remains to be seen if China would similarily dumb the US Dollar for Euro.

Either way US is stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea.

ITES Outsourcing.

The American hue and cry about outsourcing of jobs to Bangalore is a facade, Its time we got together, especially the IT and ITES crowd to oppose any such move.

The sting operations by THE SUN is one such dirty trick

Lets talk facts; America earns a whooping $24.7 trillion by way of profits its companies make operating outside the US.

The investments in the Indian ITES sector by American companies has been close to $ 1 billion, This is a cumulative figure for the past 15 years.

If Americans can kick up a furor with such humble investments, its time we get together and stop our money going to US by way of profits that these American companies make in our country.
